THE FERRELL FAMILY EASTER:
The boys had a great Easter this year. They were so excited about all the stuff the Easter bunny gave them in their baskets. Later that afternoon, we hunted eggs in the yard. Here are some pictures from this year's Easter Sunday. CLICK HERE.
K4 EASTER EGG HUNT:
On Wednesday, March 19th, Zach's K4 class had their Easter Egg Hunt at Nana & Pawpaw's backyard. Since Nana & Pawpaw's house is just two doors down from the school, having the Egg Hunt in their backyard was perfect. We were a little worried when it rained all night long, but the sun shined that day and dried away the ground so we could have our hunt.
We first had a fun pizza party at the school before heading down the sidewalk for the egg hunt. Ms Gayla and Zach's momma hid 228 eggs before the pizza party, so the children just had to wait one second before Ms Gayla said "Go!" and off they ran to find all the eggs! It was fun. Pawpaw didn't mow the grass so there were plenty of places to hide eggs . . . especially in all the thick clover growing all around.
Before eveyone left, Pawpaw came out to see all the eggs the children found. A fter getting to pick one piece of candy from the eggs they found, the children headed back to the school for playtime in the playground. They all had a really great time.

On Saturday, March 8th, Zach and Alex participated in a class for new Big Brothers at Oktibbeha County Hospital called Sodas For Siblings. There were several other children in the class. Both Zach and Alex learned about taking care of a newborn baby. They learned not to touch the baby, feed the baby, or give the baby any toys without first asking Momma and Daddy. They learned how to care for the baby. As part of the class, they each got a baby doll to practice baby care techniques. They practiced bathing the baby, dressing the baby, wrapping the baby in a blanket, putting a diaper on the baby and feeding the baby a bottle. The class ended with an ice cream and cookie party. During the party, each child got a gift to give the baby when he's born. The class got a tour of the labor and delivery department as well as a tour of the room where Mommy will be with the baby when they come to visit. The whole class delivered candy to all the nurses on duty so they'll be nice to Mommy when she's in the hospital. Finally, Zach and Alex got their certificate of completion of the class along with their Tshirt. We left the party with a bag of goodies for Mommy and baby. We had a lot of fun learning about babies. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy of the boys in the class. CLICK HERE.
