WATER SLIDE FUN AT TREY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

On Saturday, May 17th, all three boys went to Trey Freshour's 5th birthday party. Daddy had to work so even baby Shane got to go. Zach and Alex love water slides and that was the main event at Trey's party. They had a great time and didn't want to leave. Here are some pictures of the party. TREY'S PARTY CLICK HERE.

SHANE GOES TO TENDER YEARS DAYCARE FOR A DAY!

On Thursday, May 15th, Mommy had to work all day in court so baby Shane had to go to the day care for the day. It was Shane's first day in daycare, although not his first day outside his mother's care. Other times when Mommy had to work, Daddy or Aunt Carolyn or Melanie kept him for Mommy so she could work. But since Shane's buddies, Lex and Mary Beth, were now at Tender Years, along with Colt Coleman, Mommy thought that Shane might enjoy Tender Years for the day. Here are some pictures of Shane on his first day at "school." DAYCARE CLICK HERE.

MOTHER'S DAY 2008

On Sunday, May 11th, the Ferrell family went to church for the first time since Shane was born because it was Mother's Day. Mommy got a flower at church for being the "newest" mommy even though she thinks having two children earlier makes her more of an "old" mommy. After church, the whole family went out to eat at McDonalds -- which would make her the "coolest" mommy. The boys had a great time at McDonalds and then everyone went to the mall where the boys rode all the cars and motorcycles that daddy could afford at 50 cents a pop! Of course, Zach gave Mommy a dozen roses, and Alex gave Mommy food (chocolate covered cherries - Mommy's favorite). The musical card signed by all three boys was very special. It made for a very nice day for Mommy. Mother's Day pictures CLICK HERE.

Zach's First T-Ball Game!
Active Image
On Monday, May 5th, Zach and the PriceBusters had their first TBall game.  Although no one kept score, I know that our team scored BIG with the fans.  All the players hit the ball and ran the bases like old pros during this first game.  Zach was very enthusiastic, although sometimes a little unprofessional . . . such as when he kept throwing his baseball glove up in the air . . . but his family was still very proud of him.  Our next game is Thursday at 5:00 p.m.   We hope to see you there.  Here are some pictures of the team during this first game.  CLICK HERE.

ALEX GOES TO BIG SCHOOL FOR A DAY!
 Active Image
On Friday, May 2nd, Central had its K4 Day for Fall semester incoming 4 years olds.  Alex will be Active Imageturning four in June so he will begin the K4 class this fall.  I had to be out of town that day so Dave took off work to take Alex to K4 Day.  Alex dressed up in a new summer outfit and packed his book bag before heading out for his "first" day of big school.  The current K4 class was not attending school that day so Zach stayed home with PawPaw.  Here are some pictures of Alex's special day at big school.  CLICK HERE.

K4 DAY AT PICKENSVILLE, ALABAMA
Active Image
On Thursday, May 1st, the Central Academy K4 and K5 classes went on a field trip to Pickensville, Alabama, to tour the Visitor's Center and the Snagboat located on the river.  The tour of the Visitor's Center included a video on water safety as well as a visual demonstration of how the lock works to Active Imageraise and lower the river for boats.  All the children enjoyed looking at the wildlife display before climbing the many stairs to the top of the house's cupola (to me it's like a widow's walk).  Some of the children were anxious climbing that high, but most, including Zach, weren't phased by the height.  After touring the Visitor's Center, everyone went to the Snagboat for a tour.  All the children went into the pilot's house and made the boat's horn blow.  Following the snagboat tour, we hiked over to the lock where Ranger Mike (our tour guide) explained again how the lock works.  By then, everyone was starving so we went to the picnic area to eat our lunches before playing at the playground.  It was a great day!  Here are pictures of our field trip -  CLICK HERE!
